令和8年3月22、24日に開催されました全国高等学校英語会連盟(UNION) 主催 の第48回ドラマフェスティバルにおいて本校ESSが準優勝を受賞しました。
高校1年生の2名がグッドパフォーマー賞4位、グッドパフォーマー賞5位にも入賞いたしました。
桐朋祭後の限られた期間で作り上げなくてはならなかった舞台ですが、 ラブコメディーでありながらもメッセージ性のある作品で、会場を魅了しました。
本大会の司会は本校高校2年生の部員が立派に務めました。
以下はClosing ceremonyでの彼女のスピーチです。

Movies and dramas have many different kinds of endings. But no matter how they end, they always try to teach us something important. One story that left a strong impression on me is Legally Blonde. It teaches us not to judge people by their appearance, and shows that believing in ourselves can change how others see us. When we perform a play, I believe the most important thing is to understand the message of the story and express it in our own way. It’s not just about memorizing lines; it’s about sharing a message with the audience. Through our activities in ESS, we have learned how to think deeply about stories and express our ideas in our own words. These skills will be useful not only on stage, but also in our future lives. There may be times when we feel unsure of ourselves. But the experiences we gained here will remind us to keep trying and to believe in ourselves. So, I hope all of you will continue to challenge yourselves, work hard, and share the joy of drama and English with many people.
